New Shoots!

So I've had a couple shoots lately that have been fun :) first I had a senior shoot with Arabia Miller..she is such a nice person and a great sport!  She's willing to do just about anything as long as it means a good shot lol.  Then I had a maternity shoot with Alicia Collins.  She is such a sweetheart, and def. doesnt look like she is 37 weeks pregnant!  I wish I was that lucky when I had my son haha!  Last night I did another shoot with Arabia, only this time it was at a waterfall in her prom dress.  It was a such a pretty dress, and such a pretty spot!  I'm going to post a few peeks from the senior and maternity shoot, and then later on I will also post the ones from the waterfall shoot.  Tomorrow is my first wedding so I can't wait!  I'm kind of glad it is just a ceremony so that there's less pressure, but it's still going to be nerve racking!!

Water Shoot!

So I'm looking for someone to do a shoot with who has a poofy dress (i.e. wedding dress, prom dress, old fashion dress, ect.).  BUT, this person CAN'T be afraid of getting into cold water waist deep or getting the dress dirty/wet...contact me if interested!!!  This will be fun :)

Bad Start to the Week!

So Monday I cancelled my photoshoot with Alicia, the maternity model I had lined up.  It had been raining that day and the weather forcast was thunderstorms and rain, so I figured "Ok, let's do it another day."  I don't want to make someone, especially someone pregnant, do a shoot in the rain or, worst case, get struck by lightening!  The shoot was supposed to be at 4, and wouldn't it be my luck, at 3:45 (after I had cancelled) the sky clears up and the sun starts shining.  I was so pissed.  I am hoping and praying that her little girl decides to stay cooking for just a week longer!  Then today, I blew my back out somehow, and I haven't even been able to take care of my son, so I had to cancel a senior shoot at 4.  It seems like someone is just out to try and ruin all of my photoshoots!!!!  Would something please just go right!  I am hoping so hard that my back will be fine tomorrow and I won't have to quit doing something I love so much.

Photoshoots, photoshoots, photoshoots!

So yesterday I had 2 (technically 3) shoots in one day.  First I did a shoot of Samantha and Emily Hale for their parents 20th anniversary :) and then I had a senior model shoot with Chelsea Parks.  Here are a couple peeks from those shoots :)

I still have a ton more editing to do, plus another shoot today and Wednesday, as well as dealing with buying our first home.  It's a crazy busy week but I love it!

Broken Camera!

So about 2 days ago, I went to use my camera and the auto focus wouldn't work.  It was like something wasn't catching inside the lense.  Now I have to come up with $150 to go trade this broken one in and get a new one because it's the only one they carry in the store :(  Seems like nothing can ever just go right.  There's been a spec in the camera as well, almost like a hair, but there isnt a scratch on it and I can't see anything inside the camera.  It hasn't affected the photos yet, so I didn't want to worry about it.  The camera also came missing a lens cap, but I figured whatever, I can just switch the cap from lens to lens.

Considering I have two shoots Sunday and a shoot Monday, I guess I better get down to burlington.  Sorry Dylan but your b-day present is going to have to wait :(

Interns and Such

So, lately I talked to the guidance teacher as well as another teacher at Peoples Academy and was given the go ahead to do an internships (congrats Emily!) and I can't wait to start!  I love looking at pictures from other photographers and I can't wait to see how this intern will grow over the months she is with me.  I can take maybe one or two more interns shortly for this semester or for the full semester next year.  If you are interested, please visit the website to learn more or contact me for more details :)

And 2011 seniors, starting booking NOW!  If you wait until after September 15th to book you will have to come in to the studio to do it!

Hope everyone had a nice labor day weekend...I know I sure did!
